The name comes from a whimsical expression of an infinite number. My daughter and I were looking for an
online profile name
for me one day and after a few failed attempts to find a unique name that wasn't already taken, she made
the comment
that there are already "like 80 Jillion" users taking all the names. The name amused me and we found
80jillion available across pretty much any platform I checked. It was a rare, easy way to get a unique
and consistent user id
across a number of platforms.
